Merroo Camp Banner

The 10th camp we've had together as a congregation at Merroo was held in 2010.

The leaders of the children's and youth ministries came up with the idea of making a banner as our camp craft to be able to remember the fun we all had together.
Since the camp was between Easter and Pentecost this year we wanted to make something that would signify this.
The banner is made up of:
  1. a dark blue background to signify the darkness.
  2. a white cross to show how Christ's light shines through; and
  3. blowing flames coming up around it, moved by the Holy spirit. Each of the flames has the name of one of the people at the camp written on it.

The banner is almost completely finished now, but still needs a few finishing touches (like a dove), but without our hard work together in the Adventurers it would still be just loose bits of cloth. Some of the other people who worked tirelessly to make it a reality were Gwen Fewtrell (at Family Space) and the amazing Dorothy Sproul for her wonderful help before and during the camp.
